Katherine Wilgers (Corey) is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with over 20+ years of experience in the medical profession. During her education and experience, it became clear the area of mental health was lacking sufficient support in western South Dakota, which inspired her to further her discipline in behavioral health. To better serve rural populations, Katherine is licensed to see patients and perform evaluation and therapy services including Telehealth visits and medication management. Currently serving Wyoming, North Dakota, Sound Dakota, Nebraska and Nevada.
Katherine is passionate about creating a safe environment for all people to explore, learn, and grow without judgement or criticism. She understands an individual’s healing first begins with the relationship with oneself.
Before working with Spruce Canyon Wellness, she worked in a vast array of settings including hospitals, private practices, and nonprofits to broaden her knowledge base. Her specialties are in trauma, research, women’s mental health, and medication management. Breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health has become central to her work.
Her favorite activities are traveling and spending time with her friends, family and two dogs. Katherine is excited to begin this new journey and to help people in her community.
